How we will double Framer's users in 2024

The Process

Phase 1 will take 6 weeks and focus on exploration.

Step 1: Audit Past Results

We will begin by evaluating the previous ad campaigns that Framer has run to understand what creative angles and audiences have been tested, what’s worked and what hasn’t.

Step 3: Build Creative

Once we’ve decided upon a set of 4-5 target audiences to focus on, we will build 2-4 creative assets.

(2 hooks per audience, 1 UGC video and 2 graphics per hook) 

Step 5: Test & Iterate Hooks & Angles

We will spend 4-6 weeks testing creative angles and hooks against various audiences.

By the end, we’ll have acquired enough data to determine which audience is performing best and double down there.

Step 2: Determine Target Markets

Based on this data (and any other data we can get our hands on), we will identify several consumer markets to dig into, for example: Figma users, web design enthusiasts, college students, etc.

Step 4: Build Campaigns & Drive Traffic

We will drive qualified traffic to Framer’s existing home page and subpages, ie. features pages, the academy page, the pricing page, etc.


Ad Creative

Speak to their problems. Explain how Framer can solve them.

Concepts will consist of ideas like the ones in the below Notion doc. We will manage the entire production process here.

*Graphics will only take a couple days to finalize, whereas videos (pending intensity of production) will take 21-28 days to finalize. If you already have content available to run as ads, we may decide to launch initially with those assets for the sake of time.

This phase will focus on honing in on exactly what messaging, creative angles, landing pages and offers are working well for whichever audiences are identified as the highest performers.

Step 1: Offer Testing

We’ll begin creating new landing pages testing various offers and really hone in on the creative assets we’re running based on where data is telling us to focus.

Step 3: Copy & Paste

And we will continue this trend, gradually cracking additional subsequent audiences and figuring out which offers, creatives and landing pages work for each segment.

Step 2: Expand to New Audiences

Once we’ve cracked a couple of these audiences and are profitably acquiring users, we will move on to new audiences to figure out how to make those profitable as well.
